Listen: Shade - "Pipe Dream"

Shade is one of my favorite Athens bands right now. They just shared a stream of their debut LP, Pipe Dream, recorded at Shoal Creek Music Park with Matt Garrison and Zeke Sayer, mixed by the band, and mastered by Joel Hatstat.

It's a part punk, part meandering psych and kraut rock, and deliciously fuzzed and noisy.

Hear: Mikal Cronin - "MCII"

We've been listening heavily to the new Mikal Cronin LP in the office this week. If the recent cooler temperatures in Athens have you feeling like summer is far away, this album will reverse that. MCII is out this week on Merge Records.
