Vintage Vinyl Journals takes damaged vinyl and recycles the records and jackets into handcrafted bound journals. At first I gasped, seeing a lot of titles in their inventory that I'd be happy to have even fair copies of, but I've been assured that no playable vinyl was harmed in the making of these handy books.

All journals are made from recycled materials and 100% acid-free paper. Each journal contains 240 high quality pages measuring 7-1/2" x 7-1/2" on 70 lb. paper.
They sent me a Bruce Springsteen journal (retail $35 - $55) made from the Born in the USA jacket and what appears to be a promo LP for a 1986 boxed set, which I'll be giving away to one of you.

(Don't cheat! A blog giveaway is not worth the bad karma of lying. The Boss would be disappointed in you.)
Giveaway closes 2/23 at 6PM EST. I'll use random number generator to choose a corresponding comment. Since it's a bit heavy, I can only afford to ship within the US.
Good luck!

DeleteThis is a tough question because I inherited my mother's record collection at a pretty young age. I grew up with records all around me, and I'm fairly certain that by the age of five, my mother had recognized that they were no longer hers. The first record I remember opening, as a legit gift, was Prokofiev's "Peter and the Wolf" with David Bowie's narration. It was a present because I was really sad about having to move to Florida.
ReplyDeleteCheap Trick - Dream Police
ReplyDeleteI didn't yet have a turntable when I bought R.E.M.'s Chronic Town.
