Hear: Virginia Wing
Psychedelic pop-makers Virginia Wing site Arthur Lee and Love among their influences, and create swirling, dreamy sounds that would please fans of Broadcast and Stereolab. The Red Sails 7" comes out in the States July 2 via London imprint Critical Heights.

Hear: Honeyslide
Critical Heights, a label in London I work with, just signed Honeyslide. Something about their name reminded me so much of Ride or Slowdive that I wasn't too surprised to find out they're a shoegazey dreampop band from London. I'm lucky to work with a label who consistently signs emerging acts I enjoy!

September Mix
This month's playlist is heavy on Jaill (Sub-Pop) and Fergus & Geronimo (Hardly Art) since they were in town last weekend. What a great group of guys. Jaill even made us tacos, left us coffee and records, and walked our dog. Talk about good house guests!
I also got some good news last week: Critical Heights, a London label I handle US publicity for, signed Scott & Charlene's Wedding, and will be re-releasing Para Vista Social Club. Jangly Aussie slacker-pop. There are a few tracks from a split EP on this mix.
Enjoy.
