New beginnings. New goals. New to do lists. A fresh start. The burning desire to grow as a person each year, and plotting and mapping how to do so.
New Years Day is always a day of reflection for me, and this song sums up the mood: A feeling of ambition, excitement for what unknown adventures lie ahead, reflection, worry, and hope.
My Danish friends Slaraffenland recorded "Away," from their 2009 Hometapes release We're On Your Side for La Blogotheque. I played this song over and over New Years Days '10 and '11, and '12 is no different.
