Weekly Recap:

Started the week with huevos rancheros brunch at El Tlaloc (Chase St., Athens, GA.) It's one of my favorite Mexican restaurants (it's really El Salvadorian and Mexican) in Athens.
Saw "The Artist" at Cine. Definitely one for the theatre. I think a lot of the silent film charm and use of the score would be lost on a home TV or laptop.
Work lunch with my work sibling. Did you know Trappeze has has french onion soup and a gruyere grilled cheese for $5? Now you know.
A valentine record from the dude. This guys aces it every time in the gift-giving department.
Pretty proud of myself for this one. My guy had to work Valentines Day night, so I showed up with a pizza (topped with thinly sliced hard salami and banana peppers.)
My first ever liner note thank you from the sweet guys of Future Islands. I cried a little when I found out about this over the summer, and may or may not have cried a little when I saw it in person. PR isn't always a thankless job.
My new Sao Paolo internet friend sent me his music and artwork.
Colossus at Caledonia Friday night. More about there here.
I've been collecting these coffee mugs over the years from thrift stores. Two of my favotes: Canada Animals and Yellowstone. One the way to the flea market Saturday morning.
The flea market wasn't exactly hoppin'...
But I still had some great scores.
Found this neat Grateful Dead songbook at the flea market for a few bucks. Posted the rest of the artwork here.
Tangerine Dream, Apple iDream.
Did a double feature at Varsity and The Dogg Pound to compare their technique. Blog post coming soon.
This guy was ghost-writing some blog posts.
Posted a giveaway for this Bruce Springsteen journal made from damaged vinyl LPs
Posted some surreal psychedelic art from Pena Branca.
Accidentally went to work dressed like a cave woman.
Found a great vintage dress at Agora. Now I just need to find an occasion to wear it.
Acquired some new additions to the record collection.
Closed out the weekend with a few minutes at home to straighten up my house. Now that my bangs are all grown out, I just want to cut them again. Anyone else feel the same way?
