Canned Wine & Gel Manicures

After a work trip involving 14 hours total in the car and a shared hotel room with my male coworkers, and the music festival beauty routine of dry shampoo and faking put-togetherness, I was dying to do something girly. (Sorry co-workers, you know I love you, but being the only female in the office wears on me sometimes.)

My friend Anna got engaged while I was away, giving us the perfect excuse to get our nails done, and the excuse I'd been waiting for to pick up Sophia canned bubbly. I would have felt a little weird pulling a bottle of wine out of my purse in the nail shop (not saying I wouldn't have done it, though) so these cans were perfect. I also got my first gel manicure. I hear they wreck your nails, but for me, regular nail polish already takes months to recover from, even with the fanciest base coats. I'm loving it so far. We'll see how long it lasts!
