Now Reading: Holy Places

La Almudena Cathedral: Madrid, Spain
I've always been fascinated with spirituality, from orthodox religious experiences to superstition and occult beliefs. Sometimes I think I missed a calling to pursue an anthropology course of study and spend my life conducting ethnographic studies of the belief systems of cultures around the world. I'm not sure that I'll ever be able to succinctly sum up everything I believe in myself, and I love that it's a constantly unfolding experience.

The Tumblr Holy Places is full of some beautiful images and I'm enjoying following along.

Bahá’í House of Worship (Lotus Temple): New Delhi, India
Shah Cheragh (Mirror Mosque): Shiraz, Iran
al-Ka’bah (The Cube): Mecca, Saudi Arabia
Qolsharif Mosque: Kazan, Russia.
Borgund Stave Church: Borgund, Lærdal, Norway.

Angkor Wat: Angkor, Cambodia
Meenakshi Amman Temple: Tamil Nadu, Madurai district, India.
