I came across these prints today while browsing for new art for our bathroom. I've been a little cactus crazy lately (if the giant sequined cactus patch on the back of my jean jacket wasn't a dead giveaway.)

"For two years, French photographer Charles Fréger has been traveling throughout 19 European countries and trying to capture the spirit of what he calls “tribal Europe” in his “Wilder Mann” series. What he found was a huge array of pagan rituals, mainly related to the winter solstice and spring renewal, focusing on the common myth of the “wild man.” - via Bored Panda, where you can view more.

La Almudena Cathedral: Madrid, Spain

I've always been fascinated with spirituality, from orthodox religious experiences to superstition and occult beliefs. Sometimes I think I missed a calling to pursue an anthropology course of study and spend my life conducting ethnographic studies of the belief systems of cultures around the world. I'm not sure that I'll ever be able to succinctly sum up everything I believe in myself, and I love that it's a constantly unfolding experience.
