Hair cuts aren't typically a relaxing, fun, experience for me. About twice a year, after giving myself weird trims in between, I finally break down and go see a pro. I'm that nervous customer that wants their hair to look like it was cut, but also have nothing whatsoever change about it. Maybe I'm gun-shy from too many cuts where I asked for one thing, and ended up with what the stylist wanted.
My first visit to Model Citizen, the cheery salon walking distance from my house, was the most fun I've ever had getting my hair cut. Shayne's great conversation, a perfect cut, and decor that reminded me of my house a little bit (show posters, turquoise vinyl furniture, American flags, mantles, succulents...) made me feel right at home.
I've never had a facial before, so I'll be back eventually to let Stephanie work her magic on my mug.

More photos after the jump!
Even the plants there are excited about your 'do.
I left a happy (and well coifed) camper!
